Do you know every person who ever lived on earth is a masterpiece?
A masterpiece piece of God, the Creator of the earth, the Master Artist.
Like an artist intricately designed and delicately created every piece of His artwork, God created each one of us with utmost love and care, and He endowed every life with a unique purpose.
You may not feel that way. You may feel that your mind is not sharp enough or you are not smart enough.
You may not be able to use your legs or arms like most other people but need extra help in everyday activities.
You may not be able to see or speak or hear as well and need additional assistance or other devices to facilitate communications.
But,
Despite how you feel, God loves you and adores you!
Why?
Because God created you,
and you are His masterpiece.
Let me tell you a story…
A good beginning
God created the whole world and everything in it. He formed the earth, shined the light on it, and provided all the earth needed to sustain it.
God not only gave earth existence, but beautified it with plants, trees, and flowers with different colors and designs.

God did not create a silent world, either.
He gave life by creating all kinds of creatures that one can ever imagine, creatures that fly, crawl, swim, run or jump, creatures that live in the sea, on the ground, or beneath the earth.
And everything God created is good!
But God did not stop there.
God has unlimited power, wisdom, and creativity.
God is also loving, compassionate, and relational.
So, God created human beings in His own image.
Human beings can think and speak; they can communicate with God and relate to God.
God loves everything He created, and He has a special place for human beings.
He walked with them, talked with them, and even gave them the authority to rule the world.
But, something tragic happened…
A tragic turn in middle
Human beings are not content with the good things God created. They wanted more. They wanted to be as wise and as powerful as God.
Can we call it…wishful thinking?
Human beings started to do their own things and did not care about God anymore. They started to blame each other, argued with each other, and fought against each other. Their willful actions and attitudes against God brought the curse of pain, disability, and even death into the good world God created.
But, the good news is that the story does not end here.
A perfect ending
Remember God is the Creator of the whole earth, and He is in control of everything.
Even though we could not see God, God sees us all the time.
He knows what has happened,
what is currently happening,
and what is going to happen in the future. God is not only the creator of the earth,
but He is also the author of world history.
He knew the end from the very beginning.
He knew where the world will be when He first created the world.
God was grieved to see His creation, especially human beings, suffering so much pain, heartaches, and brokenness.
He sent a rescuer, Jesus Christ, to rescue human beings from the destruction that they brought on themselves.
Jesus has already accomplished part of His mission when He first came to the earth.
He is now working behind the scenes, but He promised that He will come back one day to restore the earth,
to reclaim control,
and give the earth back to God.
At that time, the weak will be made strong, the broken will be made whole, and everything will be made new.
God created every human being with love and in love because He is love.
Therefore, every person is loved by God.
God created every human being in His own image.
Therefore, all human beings are bearers of God’s image.
So, despite how you feel, God loves you and adores you.
Why?
Because you are God’s masterpiece
